Due to the numerous calls we have received in the last few days regarding the issue of whether worshipers will need to book to attend Holy Week services especially on Good Friday and Easter Saturday night, we would like to inform you of the following:
1)There will be no need to book a seat in advance. However, due to the current restrictions, capacity at our Church must not exceed one parishioner per 2 square metres of publicly accessible space. This means that once the Church reaches maximum capacity, people will be asked to stand outside the Church whilst practicing social distancing.
2)The faithful will still need to register their attendance at each Service by registering via our parish QR Code. For those faithful, especially our elderly, who do not have access to electronic devices in order to register via the QR code, there will members of the Parish Committee on hand who will be assisting them to record their name and home phone number.
Finally, later this week we will have a meeting with Bayside Council, the Local Police Station and the NSW Traffic authorities to discuss the traffic plan for the Epitaphio procession on Good Friday. Once we are provided with further information, a 2nd more detailed announcement will follow on our FB page.
We thank you for your patience and understanding!
