Following up from our previous post regarding the issue of whether worshipers will need to book to attend Holy Week services especially on Good Friday and Easter Saturday night, we would like to remind you of the following:
1)There will be no need to book a seat in advance. However, due to the current restrictions, capacity at our Church must not exceed one parishioner per 2 square metres of publicly accessible space. This means that once the Church reaches maximum capacity, people will be asked to stand outside the Church whilst practicing social distancing. Our Church will be providing outdoor speakers so that our faithful can listen to the service.
2)The faithful will still need to register their attendance at each Service by registering via our parish QR Code. For those faithful, especially our elderly, who do not have access to electronic devices in order to register via the QR code, there will members of the Parish Committee on hand who will be assisting them to record their name and home phone number.
We would like to acknowledge the support of Bayside Council, Mascot Police Station and the Graphic Arts Club for the upcoming services leading to Easter and the traffic management required during these events.
We kindly request that all parishioners adhere to social distancing requirements during the Easter period. Registration via the QR code is compulsory. Please refrain from parking illegally in the nearby streets, always respect Council staff and our neighbours by departing from Church in an orderly and safe manner.
We thank you for your patience and understanding!
Wishing to all our parishioners a Blessed Holy Week and a Joyous Resurrection of our Lord! ΚΑΛΗ ΑΝΑΣΤΑΣΗ!
