EASING OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS FOR CHURCHES
From July the 1st there will be no restrictions in the number of people attending Church services. The rule of 1 person per 4 square metres will apply. Members of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Committee have measured the Church. The Church can hold 125 people inside whilst practicing social distancing. Signs have been placed on chairs on the ground and upper levels. A big thank you to Chryse Mio for organising the signs for us.
So what does this mean for our Church?
Firstly, all WEEKDAY services will be open to the public until we reach the quota of numbers.
Secondly, SUNDAY services will be a bit trickier. The doors will be open from the start of the service. For the first few weeks- in order to avoid the rush of people wanting to attend Sunday worship- 90 people will be allowed to enter from the beginning and we will leave 35 spaces for our late comers- Families with young children and people attending Mnymosina.
We kindly ask that everyone adheres to the social distancing parameters we have placed in the Church. Members of the parish Committee will be in the Church in order to ensure that everyone is compliant.
The same rule applies for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals.
We remind everyone that if they have a runny nose, sore throat, fever or have come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 to avoid coming to Church. Public health safety is our main priority.
We thank you very much for your patience and understanding!
