SUNDAY OF ORTHODOXY
On the First Sunday of Great Lent is known as the Sunday of Orthodoxy. On this day, our Holy Church commemorates the restoration of Holy Icons after centuries of controversy and suffering at the hands of the iconoclasts; those who destroyed icons. Icons convey a deep theological truth as they witness to Christ's incarnation. Fr.Peter Mavrommatis.
