We are sharing again a presentation given by Dr. Andrew Mellas on the Church of Hagia Sophia in Constantinople and its significance in Orthodox worship.
For us Christians Hagia Sophia will always remain an Orthodox place of worship as it was originally intended to be. It is not a museum nor a mosque.
We pray that our Lord protects our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the small Orthodox population in Istanbul. Historically, big changes in Turkey always bring a persecution of religious minorities there.
