May 28, 2020
We are hearing reports from various news outlets that from the 1st of June, churches will be allowed to have 50 people attending services.
Weddings and Baptisms- 20 guests.
Funerals- 50 people.
Due to the proposed new easing of the restrictions, the following rules will apply:
* Weekday liturgies- the doors of the Church will be open until we reach the number allowed-50.
Attendees will have their temperature measured and their details will be taken. Hand sanitizers will be available.
* Sunday Liturgies- Due to the high demand of requests of people wanting to attend, for the moment the doors will be closed on Sunday. Those wishing to attend will have to pre-book a place with Fr. Athanasios. Please DO NOT TURN UP if you have not spoken to Fr A. Preference will be given to families who have booked mnymosina, young families and those who work during the week.
Fr Athanasios has already been suggesting to senior members to prefer attending the increased weekday services.
* We remind everyone to stay home if they have a cold, runny nose, sore throat or a fever. Senior members and people with weak immune systems are advised to stay at home until the restrictions are further eased and it is safe to go outdoors.
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding!
